This course is designed for people who are assigned the responsibility as the Chief Warden and their deputies in their workplace The course is structured in accordance with Australian Standards: Planning for emergencies in facilities AS 3745 Planning for Emergencies Health Care Facilities AS 4083 and the General Fire Regulations where applicable
Participants are exposed to relevant information for their role as a Chief Warden This information supports the implementation of emergency procedures staff training requirements and the roles and responsibilities of the Chief Warden in the event of an emergency that may warrant an evacuation Successful participants will receive a Statement of Completion accredited by the Tasmania Fire Service

Certificate of completion on successful completion of assessment activities
There are no pre-requisites for undertaking this course However it is recommended that participants have either previously undertaken warden training or possess a strong understanding of the role of a warden in the workplace
Nil -however it would be helpful if the person has good leadership qualities and the capacity to take control remain calm and make decisions in an emergency situation
